Where did the inspiration for your office space design come from?
My inspiration for the office space came from a stunning pattern, texture Anthropologie drum lampshade. That lampshade was calling my name! The lampshade colors are yellow, grey and cream, did I mention my favorite color is yellow. I designed the whole office around that lampshade.
I also wanted my office to be an extension of my home – a home away from home. I didn’t want to sit behind a desk with clients facing me. I design my studio into separate compartments, including a conference area with comfortable chairs, pillows and a glass top table. My workspace is separated so it doesn’t compete with the client’s conference space. A spurge piece is my glam Borghese mirrored credenza that doubles as a storage cabinet.
What is your favorite part/design of your office space and why?
My favorite space in my office space is my workspace. The workspace includes my desk with a glass top, file cabinets and bookshelves. I recently took all of my favorite inspiration pictures and now display them under the glass top. The work area is special because my husband built it based on my hand drawings. Watching him take my vision from paper to reality put a BIG smile on my face.
Do you feel that having a well designed and inspiring office has changed the way you and your employees work?
Yes, yes and yes! Having a well design office is very important to efficiently run a successful business. Being able to have everything in a designated spot at hand’s reach is a must.
If you could use one word to describe the feel of the office space, what would it be?
